Lets destroy the World Bank. I don't see how this could cause anything except positive world change.

I know I know, someone with alot of money would save it. But hey, they might lose their chokehold on the world in the process.

So lets smash it up. I'm sure that blowing up the whole building would be too complicated, but maybe we could just launch an RPG into every window? That would probably start enough fires that the place would burn down.
That's a lot of RPG's, but it's still more feasable than a demolition crew like the WTC had.

Then millions of people who currently depend on the system would starve. The end result might be possitive but the immediate result would destroy lives... do eet.

I don't understand. Is the goal to destroy the world bank, or their headquarters? Destroying their headquarters wouldn't really put much of a dent into them.

Is this actually true?
What is your opinion on the matter?

obviously the image is misleading.
the surface of the oil drops is not proportional to the numbers they represent. instead the diameter of the oil drops is proportional to the numbers. however humans look at the surface so this is misleading.
to the fact that the deepwater horizon spill isn't actually a the biggest spill evar as which it is marketed on TV: yes but still it's the nearest to the US coast of all big spills. also it's not only a crude oil spill but a lot of toxic material like benzine and similar stuff leaks out of the hole. also the dispersants are a thousand times more hazardous to health than the oil so certainly more people will die from the effects of this oil spill than from any other oil spill in history.

The American public needs to wake up and realize that we don't need to drill for oil, for fucks sake Henry Ford built a car out of hemp and powered it on hemp based fuel in nineteen oh fucking three.

Biggest spill evar in america, yes. Interestingly, there are things that exist OUTSIDE of america.

I think it's also interesting to note that the Technology we are currently using to decipher the amount of spilled is far more sophisticated than what was available in 1980, which is roughly when a LOT of those spills occurred. There's a good chance that those old numbers were grossly wrong and the real amount will never be know.
Shoot, the numbers we're given about deepwater horizon are still grossly wrong, but they were intentionally changed for the purpose of stock manipulation, and the real numbers did eventually come out, after some time went by.

Man, I got really tense when they were getting ready to crank it up. I knew that the black hole thing was bogus, but damn.

So HOORAY for a new era in Physics and the ever expanding library that is human knowledge!

What an idiot. Why would the Higgs Boson give a damn about what we know about it?
>> No. 188
It just happens to be a coincidental event.

Though I think it's a load of crap. While I suppose it could be possible given the energy densities used, they would notice the missing energy in the equations involved to account for the particles that were sent through time.

This chapter will slam shut just like the other 3.

There is only one truth, and it is ignored.

I wish you well, traveler.

>This guide will give a very large list of opposing arguments, and the correct responses.

Have Fun Trolling Christian's!

>If religion is the source of all evil, then why was it a theist who invented the scientific method? (Bonus points if you reveal the theist was a crazy Muslim scientist)
[Actually, no you'll find that the scientific method was actually created in near 6000BCE by ancient Egyptians, who used and transcribed (at the time) widely know empirical methods within the fields of astronomy, mathematics, and medicine. Also, I have never personally claimed that "religion is the source of all evil". I have, however, claimed that religion is very pointless, and that being an Atheist is indeed a far cheaper method of living.]

>"Prove god doesn't exist"
[Oh, that is quite easy. Simply by saying that a god does not exist, makes a god disappear. If we all do it, then god has no power. You make god exist, god does not make god exist.]

>"Jesus died for your sins."
[No, he died because he claimed to be something that he wasn't, and a religious institution didn't like that. The religion, and religious people killed him.]

I am an astrophysicist (grad student), and I lol'd. What a bold and misguided implication, which reveals an extreme bias and obvious misunderstanding.

CARL SAGAN SEZ U BE A RETARD BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF TIMES OVER. Also, I am surprised that you have time to formulate an opinion on the current paradigms of quantum mechanics in between all the Yaoi you supposedly lurk.

How does it feel to be so pathetic?

By the way, I found it hilarious reading the obvious denial most theists are in and the "yes, but not my brand of religion" mentality.

Oh please, lawrdy lawrdy, my saviour, let me live with you in the big disneyland in the sky. Let me bathe in pixie dust and ride flying unicorns.

Man is so, so, pathetic. P.S. The Game, for good measure.

Some fucker named Patrick kicked me off his physics forum for this hypothesis. But I have had a theory that there is no gravity. "Gravity" is not a force, binded together by invisible wavelengths we cannot say, nor is it "graviton" atoms seeped out like a broken condom from a gravity dimension.

It's just the phenomona or weigh, mass, and density bending space. That's it. Therefore, the amount of gravity is relative to the mass of something. That's why Earth has more gravity then the moon, thats why the sun has more gravity then the Earth!

Why is this relevant? Because it means we have far more control over space travel as far as gravitational pull then we thought we did before. On Jupiter? Go on Jenny Craig, and the gravitational pull will be less noticable. Whatever you weigh now, Jupiter (a huge planet) is only 2.5x Earth's gravity, so my 280lb wife will need to lose atleast half her body weight, that way when she's on Jumper, she's only 370lbs. It's alot, but it's doable. The fact is, we'll more then likely look for planets to migrate on that have less gravity.

Pic related. We will need battle armor and heavy guns to combat whatever alien animals we may encounter. The extra weight will densify whatever oxygen is on the planet and "orbit" around us, making it easier to breathe, as well as keep us more grounded on a light surface such as the moon.

solving the following riddle will reveal the awful secret behind the Universe.......

...assuming you do not go utterly mad in the attempt. If you already happen to know the awful secret behind the universe, feel free to skip ahead.

Let's say you have an ax. The kind that you could use, in a pinch, to hack a man's head off. And let's say that very situation comes up and for some very solid reasons you behead a man. On the follow-through, though, the handle of the ax snaps in half in a spray of splinters. So the next day you take it to the ax store down the block and get a new handle, fabricating a story for the guy behind the counter and explaining away the reddish dark stains as barbecue sauce.

Now, that next spring you find in your garage a creature that looks like a cross-bred badger and anaconda. A badgerconda. And so you grab your trusty ax and chop off one of the beast's heads, but in the process the blade of the ax strikes the concrete floor and shatters.

This means another trip to McMillan & Sons Ax Mart. As soon as you get home with your newly-headed ax, though, you meet the reanimated body of the guy you beheaded last year. He's also got a new head attached and it's wearing that unique expression of "you're the one who killed me last Spring" resentment that one so rarely encounters in everyday life.

You brandish your ax. He takes a long look at the weapon with his squishy, rotting eyes and in a gargly voice he screams, "that's the same ax that slayed me!"

Is he right?

Anon,

If we had a combined effort from not just us but all forces of the internet, would it be possible to manipulate a certain company on the stock market? I mean if every anon, /b/tard, troll, stonerfag, and cancer put in $200 into a certain company technically speaking could we make that company rise up, sell our shit, then watch it fall. Unlike most plans that anon has pulled, This could be lulz in beyond epic proportions considering we could do it to any company we choose.

The thought just popped into my mind. Any criticism, praise, and fuck yous would be appreciated

Okay, so Lysenkoism is a deterministic view that tries to base its beliefs on science?

As for ID, I wouldn't say that just because trees, for example, look well-organized they must have a creator.
I believe that the Creator of the universe cannot be met, defined, analyzed or studied through science. Therefore, science will keep on searching and progressing, because -simply- the Creator cannot be found through such procedures.

How are you going to transport the lava/thermite without it burning through the container used to carry them? It would probably be better to use a material that is liquid at room temperature (or maybe above room temperature but below the liquefying temperature of lava) yet solidifies at the temperature in the Gulf.
