Hello /k/! I am interested in purchasing a revolver for fun at the shooting rang and protection, but I know very little about brands, reliability, etc. I know that I want a double action revolver with a longer barrel. I was looking at Colts and saw a few nice looking ones. Do you guys know any good ones?

Colts are expensive. S&Ws, Ruger, are good. I have 9 S&W revolvers, from .22 mag up to .45 colt/acp and 10mm.
