Anyone else read greek drama? I fucking love the shit.
It's like a time machine, I like to try to read it and understand what would have been funny or exciting to the Ancient Greeks.
Sophocles, Aristophanes, Aeschylus, all that shit is awesome imo.

I really liked reading Candide (it's one of my favorite books) and I've liked what I've read of Tom Jones so far, but I haven't finished it. Not as old school as what you're reading, but I think books from the 18th century still count as old school.

It's sad that they don't teach Greek tragedy in schools anymore. Every single educated person (in the Western World) from about 200 B.C. to about 1850 A.D. learned ancient Greek (Latin too) in schools and read these guys; it's makes me nostalgic for a time in which I've never lived.
